"The other thing I realise is poe currency that even if that is not the situation, imagine if they announced they are working on D4 this Blizzcon. And Blizzcon comes along and they didn't have a suitable announcement. That could be a bad thing. Therefore the implication there, are they not sure an announcement could be reached by them from now? And that would be the concern that could cause them not wanting to statement? Because otherwise you would believe that they would only say, we are working on this."

Rogers stated GGG was"absolutely working under the premise" that Blizzard would declare Diablo 4 this Blizzcon, up until the recent blog article. "Path of Exile patch] 4.0.0 is designed to go against D4, entirely: we're working under the premise that we're going to need to attract our A-game with 4.0.0, since Blizzard would be announcing that."

As I mentioned at the moment, the debacle around Blizzcon has stirred up an interesting discussion developers discuss and announce games, although not only about the franchise in general. For their role, and as someone working in the exact same genre and at the business more broadly, the Kiwi devs had lost touch and posited that Blizzard had gotten the messaging entirely wrong.

"The way in which the PR has gone [Diablo Immortal]... that sort of bothered me a little bit. We all make errors about PR, it happens. Nonetheless, it is weird when you double down on this, which to buy poe orbs some extent that they have," Rogers explained.
